Highly Geared returned from a spell with an impressive victory at Canberra last Friday.
After having her return to the racetrack delayed due to the abandonment of the Cootamundra Cup meeting, Highly Geared had to wait another week to hit the track in a 1000m Maiden at Canberra.
Jumping straight to the lead, Highly Geared was never headed throughout the race, being rated very well by leading jockey Matthew Cahill, she went on to win by a half length in a time of 58:18 sec on a Dead 4 track.
Highly Geared will now go to Canberra on Friday 24th October in a Class 1 1000m.
